Bescheinigt hierdurch, auf dem Grund der gemachten Deklaration von zwey bekannten und glaubwürdigen Zeugen daß: Chr: Lorenz CARSTENS, gebürtig aus Hamburg, von Gewerbe Economo, auf seiner Reise von Neu Freyburg, bey Gelegenheit der Durchwatung eines Flusses, am vierzehnten des Monaths September tausendachthundert drey und dreyzig, ertrunken sey. Ertheilt unter Registrierung des Genenral Consulat-Siegels, zu Rio de Janeiro 8 August 1834 Siegel des Hamburg Generalkonsulats. In der von O. F. PLUNS angelegten Stammtafel der Familie CARSTENS heißt es zu dem Unglück: ‘Im Begriffe in CANTA GALLA eine Vende anzulegen, wollte er im September 1833 nach Rio Janeiro um dort Einkäufe zu machen verlohr im Flusse RIO MACCACII seine Reisemütze, wollte diese wieder erhaschen wurde dadurch vom Strome fortgerissen. Lars Jensen af Noes med kautionister. - Hvad er mere lovligt og billigt, end at en kreditor, når han ser sit pant svækket og forringet, hans renter til forfaldstider at udeblive det ene år efter det andet, og debitors egne kautionister at provokere ham, at han da i tide opsiger sin kapital og anlægger sag, hvis ikke kapitalen betales til tiden. - Lars Jensen har lånt 1500 rdl. af apotekeren. Han har forhugget sin skov og derved forringet pantet. Hans grund til at nægte betaling har været, at lånet skulle stå uopsagt i 4 år, og at han havde kontraregning over for apotekeren. Han har indgivet en dristig klage til kongen og heri brugt fornærmelige expressioner af overgydende bitterhed, men intet bevist, heller ikke vist, hvori kontraregningen skulle bestå. - Han bør betale sammen med sine kautionister Christen Eriksen af Seest og Bertel Christensen Wind af Lejrskov. Hans beskyldninger og fornærmelige skrivemåde bør anses for døde og magtesløse. For rettens tidsspilde bør han bøde til justitskassen 2 rdl. og lige så meget til Anst herreds fattigkasse.
